Detox Green Smoothie Recipe

  1. Start with your greens - obviously! 2 teaspoons of Ora Organic Greens Superpowder+ is the most fuss-free source of high quality, organic greens. Otherwise, greens like baby spinach, kale, romaine lettuce and celery work well.

  2. Next, add your favourite creamy fruit such as banana or avocado. While bananas are rich sources of potassium which helps maintain cellular liver health, avocados are a great source of monounsaturated fat and vitamins C, E, K and B6, and also help to increase the liver's ability to cleanse itself.

  3. Flavour the smoothie with sweeter fruits like berries, mango or pineapple which will not only help to mask any grassy taste from the greens, but also provide a good variety of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants.

  4. Add in any desired natural flavour, such as a squeeze of lemon for a sour note and vitamin C, or honey for a little more sweetness. Manuka honey especially supports a healthy immune system, aids digestion and the phenolic compounds may provide liver-protecting benefits.

  5. Lastly, add your liquid of choice — coconut water, plant-based milk or even just water.

  6. Blend everything together and enjoy!
