Tremella mushroom has been a staple of Chinese cuisine for centuries. The mushroom is rich in dietary fibres, protein, minerals, antioxidants and also high in vitamin D. It is used in China in a variety of dishes from soups to desserts. Tremella has also been traditionally used by Chinese and Japanese herbalists as a potent Qi tonic for thousands of  years. It is thought to nourish the lungs, kidneys, heart, brain, stomach, and often taken as a tonic for the immune system. 

Tremella’s polysaccharides have been shown to stimulate the production of  the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the brain and liver. SOD helps to protect and regenerate skin and effectively prevent wrinkling and sagging of the skin.
