What enzymes does Debloat and Digest+ contain?

Debloat and Digest+ contains six vegan digestive enzmes - protease, papain and bromelain to aid  digestion of proteins, amylase to aid digestion of carbohydrates, lipase to aid the breakdown of fat and cellulase to aid digestion of plant fibre. 

Is Debloat and Digest+ safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

We recommend avoiding Debloat and Digest+™ during pregnancy and breastfeeding as there is a lack of research around deglycyrrhized liquorice during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The liquorice herb is native to the Middle East and parts of Asia and India. Its root has a long history of use in both Eastern and Western medicine, often being ground up to be used in teas and herbal medicines to help with stomach upsets and other ailments. Liquorice root contains a compound called glycyrrihizin, which is responsible for the health benefits of the herb. 

In Debloat and Digest+™, we have used GutGard®, a clinically-trialled standardised extract that was shown to be beneficial for relieving indigestion when dosed at 75mg twice a day.

Fennel is an aromatic spice mainly grown in India and the Mediterranean. In Indian culture, it is not uncommon to see people chewing on fennel seeds after every meal for faster digestion and as a mouth freshener. Fennel seeds are a powerhouse of nutrients and vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese, zinc, iron, potassium and calcium.
